Born in 1963 in Çorum, Ziya Kalem graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at 19 Mayıs University. He continued his education at Ankara Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. He obtained his Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) certification from the Private Ankara IVF Center. He furthered his education by earning a fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from The Global Open University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ziya Kalem has worked as an obstetrician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of Ankara Şereflikoçhisar State Hospital. He also served as an obstetrician at Çorum Maternity Hospital and Çorum Private Hospital. He worked as a gynecologist and IVF specialist at the Private Ankara IVF Center. He held the position of Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist and Responsible Manager at Gürgan Clinic.

He holds certifications in Assisted Reproductive Technology Training (IVF), Gynecological Endoscopy, Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy, and Gynecological Microsurgery.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ziya Kalem’s areas of expertise include IVF, infertility, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ziya Kalem currently works at the IVF Center at Istinye University and Liv Bahçeşehir Hospital.
