Embryologists and technicians play a critical role in your IVF treatment. The experience of your embryologists is as important as the experience of your doctors. Everyone working in the embryology laboratory must have top-level expertise and technical experience.
From egg retrieval to embryo transfer, all processes take place in the embryology laboratory. This is why the equipment and quality of the embryology laboratory are so valuable.
At Kalem Bebek, we offer you a world-class embryology laboratory. We are at your service with our experienced technicians and expert embryologists.
- Advanced Incubators
Incubators are the most important equipment in the laboratory. They are one of the key factors in embryos reaching their maximum growth potential. The multi-chamber incubators in our laboratory are more successful than standard incubators in achieving better fertilization, improving embryo quality, and reaching higher pregnancy rates.
- Laminar Flow Cabinet
The first place where the collected eggs are evaluated is these cabinets. It is crucial that our cabinets, where temperature, humidity, and air quality are controlled, meet international standards to prevent damage to the eggs and sperm.
- ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
The procedure of placing a single sperm into each egg is called ICSI. This process takes place under an advanced microscope known as an inverted microscope. Under this microscope, sperm abnormalities that cannot be detected with standard microscopes are identified, and the best sperm is selected and injected into the egg.
- Laser
To biopsy the embryos for genetic testing without harming them, it is necessary to open the embryo’s shell with a laser. We use the laser in our laboratory for this purpose. During freezing-thawing cycles, the embryo’s outer shell, called the zona pellucida, hardens. Before these embryos are transferred, the hardened outer shell is thinned with a laser to increase the embryo’s chances of implantation.
- Embryo and Egg Freezing
Our experienced embryologists can successfully freeze embryos using the vitrification (rapid freezing) method in our laboratory. During thawing, we prepare the embryos for transfer with minimal damage.
- Embryo Genetic Testing
For patients with a family history of genetic disorders and women who have experienced recurrent miscarriages or failed IVF cycles, our genetic testing technologies increase success rates. Moreover, they reduce miscarriages, prevent hereditary conditions from passing to subsequent children, and shorten the total time to achieve pregnancy.
With PGT-A, we can identify the cause of recurrent pregnancy losses or failed fertility cycles, select the best embryos before implantation, and increase your IVF success rates.
With PGT-M, we can determine if you and your partner are at risk of having a baby with a specific genetic disorder and eliminate the possibility of passing it on to your children.
